Andrew Ainsworth is a lecturer in the finance discipline at the University of Sydney Business School. He received a bachelor of economics degree with first-class honours from the University of Western Australia, and a master of finance and PhD from the University of New South Wales. He has previously worked at the Reserve Bank of Australia. His current research interests include investments, the role of information in fixed income and equity markets, ex-dividend trading behavior, and market microstructure.
