Geoff Mulgan is chief executive of Nesta, the United Kingdom’s endowment for science, technology, and the arts. Previously he was chief executive of the Young Foundation, a leading center for social innovation. Between 1997 and 2004 he worked for the UK government, including as director of the government’s strategy unit and head of policy in the prime minister’s office. The founder director of the think tank Demos, he is a visiting professor at the London School of Economics, University College London, and Melbourne University, and he has advised governments around the world on policy and strategy.
