Helen Roybark is an associate professor of accounting at Radford University, where she teaches accounting information systems and auditing. Her teaching philosophy is to actively engage students so that the classroom experience is connected to the professional world. Prior to joining the faculty at Radford, she worked in the accounting profession for 27 years, during which she owned and operated an accounting firm in Newport News, Virginia, for 12 years. Roybark earned her PhD from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2003. She is a certified public accountant licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and a certified fraud examiner with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
