Michael D. McKenzie is a professor of finance and the chair of discipline at the University of Sydney, Australia, and a research associate at the Centre for Financial Analysis and Policy, Cambridge University, England. During his time as an academic he has published numerous books and journal articles on a wide range of topics. His main research interests encompass the areas of risk management, market volatility, price discovery, and market microstructure analysis. Prior to joining academia McKenzie was a treasury analyst for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, and he currently works as a consultant with the Midwine Financial Risk Management Consulting group, Australia, which specializes in the areas of strategic asset allocation and financial risk management.
