Robin Pritchard is professor of internal audit, governance and risk management at Birmingham City University and a nonexecutive director with a number of UK government agencies. He is chairman of Severnside Housing and a specialist adviser to three further audit committees. Robin has developed a number of outsourced internal audit practices and was UK public sector internal audit partner with Arthur Andersen. Recognizing that there is a diverse understanding of what represents good governance and world-class internal audit, Robin has recently started his own consultancy business providing external quality assessment of internal audit teams and governance reviews in association with the Governance Forum.
