Stephen J. Richards

Director, Longevitas Ltd., UK

Stephen J. Richards is a director of Longevitas Ltd., a compnay providing analytical software for mortality, longevity, and other demographic risks. The business spans the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, and Australia, with users of the software including insurers, reinsurers, consulting actuaries, and regulators. He is a fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries in the UK and he holds a PhD from Heriot-Watt University, where he is also an honorary research fellow. He is an adviser to the CMI's Technical Committee in teh UK and is an active researcher on the application of modern statistical techniques to business problems faced by life insurers.
