fast track

General Management

route providing rapid results a rapid route to success or advancement. The fast track involves competition and a race to get ahead, and is associated with high ambition and great activity. An employee can be on a fast track, for example, to promotion, but an activity also can be said to take the fast track, for example, to rapid product development.
