UK organization handling complaints against financial institutions in the United Kingdom, an organization responsible for investigating and resolving complaints involving money from members of the public against a company, institution, or other organization. The Ombudsman is not a governmental body, but it does operate under an Act of Parliament in the form of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
