quota

  • 1. Finance

    limit of investment by party in joint venture the maximum sum to be contributed by each party in a joint venture or joint business undertaking

  • 2. Stockholding & Investments

    ceiling on investment in given situation or market the maximum number of investments that may be purchased and sold in a specific situation or market, as in a US Treasury auction, where bidders may not apply for more than a specific percentage of the securities being offered

  • 3. International Trade

    limit of imports or exports the maximum amount of a specific commodity, product, or service that can be imported into or exported out of a country
