firm managing UK government’s banking investments UK Financial Investments Ltd: a company that manages the UK government’s investments in the Royal Bank of Scotland plc, Lloyds Banking Group, Bradford & Bingley, Northern Rock plc and Northern Rock Asset Management plc. It was set up in 2008 after the government had to step in to overcome serious difficulties in independent banks.
